DOMINGO DE LA TRINIDAD

TRINITY SUNDAY (Year C, Church of England Lectionary) “Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.” (Romans 5:1, NIV) The Trinity is one of the most important teachings in the Christian faith and one of the hardest to understand. This year, we are remembering 1700 years since the Council of Nicaea. At Nicaea, the Church affirmed that Christ shares the same nature as the Father and is eternal with Him. I won’t go into deep debates about Nicaea or try to explain the mystery of the Trinity today. We simply believe that God is one being in three distinct persons —Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. So instead of explaining the details, I want to ask and answer a simple question: What does the Trinity mean for your personal life? Our Triune God is good, loving, and worthy of all praise.
